Fresh reports from Spain say Luis Enrique could arrive at Chelsea before end of season

Despite continued reports that Antonio Conte could stay on as Chelsea manager till the end of the season, fresh reports from Spain say Luis Enrique’s contract could take effect from this season, before the summer even begins, with current manager Antonio Conte getting sacked.

The report by El Confidencial says Chelsea head coach, Conte, has been intentional playing with his tactics in order to get sacked by Chelsea. His use of the club’s strikers in recent games has been baffling, particularly summer top signing Alvaro Morata.

The former Real Madrid striker has been left on the bench even when fit at times, while Eden Hazard has been played out of position in the number nine role.

Most recently against Manchester City, the striker was brought in with only two minutes left to play, and El Confidencial claim it is Conte secret plan to get the sack at the club and walk away with a bumper pay off.

Should that happen, Chelsea will not go in for an interim manager, but convince Luis Enrique to end his sabbatical leave and begin his head coach role at the club.
