Shock as Chelsea eye Premier League goalkeeper flop as Thibaut Courtois’ replacement

Chelsea are eyeing a new number one should Thibaut Courtois depart the club in the coming transfer windows to Real Madrid and it appears Joe Hart could be their man, according to the Sun.

The England international has tasted rejection for sometime these last few seasons, after Pep Guardiola publicly admitted he did not trust Hart and wanted a shot stopper who could actually be part of build up play. Claudio Bravo was brought in, but his struggles forced the hand of Guardiola to bring in Ederson who now comfortably enjoys the number one spot at Manchester City.

At West Ham United, Hart has lost his place to Adrian since David Moyes was hired as manager, and his future has been rather bleak, making the links with Chelsea even more shocking.

Chelsea are thought to be resolved to losing Courtois either this summer of the next, when the Belgium international’s contract expires, but are bent on making Courtois the world’s highest paid player with a £200,000-a-week including add-ons.

Should Courtois decide not to extend his deal, Chelsea will go in for Hart, shockingly.
