“I don’t know” – Antonio Conte admits Alvaro Morata will be out for a long time

Chelsea will certainly be without Antonio Conte in their clash with West Bromwich Albion next Monday, and most likely miss him for a considerable while as he continues a recovery from a back injury.

The striker was brought in last summer to replace Diego Costa but despite a good start to life at Chelsea, Morata has been out of action in recent months, due to a back injury he sustained some weeks back.

Conte, when quizzed about when he expects his star striker to return from injury, said he is at a loss when Morata will resume full training and return to the pitch.

Morata has scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season but has been unable to add to his tally after a dry spell during the festive period and also the added factor of a back injury he sustained.

The arrival of Olivier Giroud will be a great option for Conte in his quest to get back to winning ways and hopefully the France international can get into full gear from the game against West Bro on Monday.
