“Yes, I’ve heard about it” – Arturo Vidal confirms interest from Antonio Conte

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has confirmed transfer interest from Chelsea but maintains he is determined to help his side fight for title this season.

Chelsea have been reportedly making inroads to sign the former Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder this month.

The Blues were linked with several midfielders last summer including Vidal, Radja Niangolan and Ross Barkley but the latter has completed the much anticipated move to Stamford Bridge while Antonio Conte ensured Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater deals were done before the season began.

Conte’s love and desire to reunite with Vidal again remains strong with the Chelsea manager confirming this in a press conference earlier in December. He described the all action midfielder as a ‘player I will go to war with’.

Vidal, when asked about the comments and interest from Conte confirmed he knew about them, but insisted he wanted to help Bayern fight for more trophies this season.

“Yes, I’ve heard about it, but I’m fully focused on the season with Bayern and look only from day to day. We are a great team and we have big goals. We want to win all titles. That’s my focus.”
