Two fresh forwards emerge as Chelsea targets

Chelsea’s interest in AS Monaco forward Thomas Lemar and Richmond Boakye Yiadom of Red Star Belgrade has gathered pace as Blues have reportedly stopped their pursuit of Celtic’s Moussa Dembele, as per the Evening Standard.

The forward was reportedly close to joining Arsenal last summer but the move failed to materialize in the very end as the Gunners missed out on another marquee signing following their capture of Alexander Lacazzette.

With Alvaro Morata, the only trusted striker in the Blues ranks, Antonio Conte is also keen to add to his forward options and  Boakye Yiadom has emerged as another top target. The Ghana striker has become one of the most prolific strikers in Europe with over 40 goals in 2017.

Lemar and Boakye Yiadom will make Chelsea a lot more stronger in attack than they are at the moment despite the quality in numbers present. Eden Hazard could be on his way to Real Madrid while Michy Batshuayi remains unconvinced about his future at the club, and may be seeking a loan move away from the club in January.
