Eden Hazard confirms he will sign new deal with Chelsea but under one condition

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has confirmed he will sign a new deal at the club but only after Thibaut Courtois extends his contract.

The Belgium international is one of the best players in the Premier League having helped the Blues to two title since his arrival in the country in the summer of 2012. His contribution to those successes are much documented and has seen him win several individual awards.

Hazard has been constantly linked with La Liga giants Real Madrid, as the Los Blancos continue a poor season under Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman has won two Champions League title in the two years he’s been at the club, but pressure has began mounting on him to churn out better results that his side have had this season, after slipping far below leders Barcelona in the Spain top flight.

Hazard may be one of the reasons they could have a better campaign next season if a deal is ironed out in the coming months, but Hazard has told the Mirror he will put pen to paper.

“Yes, I think Thibaut first. Then I will sign.”

Hazard made the comments while attending NBA London on Thursday night – where the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-103.
