Chelsea’s pursuit of Alex Sandro boosted after Juventus step up efforts for replacement

Chelsea have received a huge boost after reports in Italy indicate Juventus have stepped up their efforts in finding a left full back as replacement for the soon to depart Alex Sandro.

The Brazil international has been out of favor at the club following his constant threats of quitting Juventus to pursue a dream move to the Premier League with both Manchester United and Chelsea ready to snap him up.

The English clubs’ hopes of landing Sandro has take a huge leap after it was reported by the Mirror that Juventus are tracking Bayer Leverkusen’s Wendell.

Despite Marcos Alonso flourishing at the left wing back position for Chelsea in the last 18 months since his signing from Fiorentina, there’s a sense of belief at Stamford Bridge that Sandro will represent a better investment, with the Brazilian more balanced in defense and attack.

If Juventus finalize the deal for Wendell, it will open the door for Antonio Conte to land one of his prime summer targets.
