Antonio Conte makes important comment on Chelsea’s chase of Andy Carroll

Chelsea have been heavily linked with making a move for West Ham striker Andy Carroll as an alternate deputy to Chelsea first choice striker Alvaro Morata as well as a replacement for Michy Batshuayi.

The Italian remained tight lipped  when questioned about Chelsea interest in the pony-tailed player when asked if his side will sign him this transfer window. The Former Juventus coach who has been seeking to do some reinforcement in the team has been linked severally with a number of players recently.

The Blues have already signed Ross Barkley on a five-and-half year deal from Everton which sums up their first of January signings as the Chelsea boss is on the lookout for a replacement to ease the pressure of the no.1 Chelsea striker Morata and also find a replacement for Batshuayi who is soon to depart Stamford Bridge.

Conte hints at more signings for Chelsea as he insists the club will be working to improve the squad at his disposal.

“I am very happy to work with my players and I’m very happy with the commitment of my players. The club knows very well the positions we can improve. Now there is a transfer market.

If there is a possibility to find a good solution to improve the squad I think the club knows very well my opinion.”
