Tottenham ready to sell Chelsea target for £45m

Chelsea have received some big news regarding one of their January transfer targets.

According to a Daily Star Exclusive, Tottenham are willing to sell Danny Rose if his valuation of £45m is met.

The report is originally targeted for Manchester United, who are seen as the favourites to land the English left-back, but with Chelsea’s rumoured interest in the player at the back end of last summer’s transfer window, Rose’s next club is not destined to be at Old Trafford.

Marcos Alonso has been the only natural left wing-back at Chelsea since last season.

Chelsea are currently short of wing-backs, with Marcos Alonso, Victor Moses and summer signing Davide Zappacosta the only natural fits for the roles. Alonso is the only one of the trio who’s preferred on the left, with Kenedy and Cesar Azpilicueta sometimes covering for him when needed.

This very situation has been a big problem for Antonio Conte for quite some time now, which is also why Chelsea have shown such strong interest in Juventus’ Brazilian wing-back Alex Sandro.

Thinking that Rose would be available for £45m and Sandro for £60m as last summer’s reports indicated, Conte could have a big decision to make regarding which player to go for first.
