“We are a top team too” – Eden Hazard incites Barcelona and PSG, insisting Chelsea can beat them

Eden Hazard says Chelsea are capable of beating anybody in the Champions League after a likely knockout draw on Monday against Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues are readying themselves for a tough clash in the round of 16 after they failed to beat Atletico Madrid in the final group game, surrendering Group C top spot to AS Roma who secured victory at home against Qarabag FK.

With the rules firm in its demands of not allowing two clubs from the same group or country to face each other in the next phase of the competition, Chelsea can only phase one of Barcelona, PSG and Besiktas as the remaining four groups are topped by English teams, unless Liverpool somehow manage to lose their position as leaders of Group E.

However, Chelsea’s star forward Eden Hazard says he and his teammates fear no one and are ready to do damage to the top clubs in Europe.

“Their goalkeeper was on fire. We should top the group but it’s a good draw, Atletico are very strong. We are happy.

“It’s not a problem who we get, we are Chelsea. We are a top team too. We can do anything.”

The draw will take place on Monday in Nyon, Switzerland with the first legs of the round of 16 taking place on February 13/14 and 20/21.
