Roman Abramovich decides when he’ll sack Antonio Conte

Chelsea have lost their first game since October, and Antonio Conte’s future at the club is once again being questioned by the media.

According to Spanish website Don Balon, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has decided to sack Antonio Conte once the Blues are knocked out of the Champions League.

Chelsea are very likely to face a strong opposition in the knock-out stages of the European Elite competition. After finishing second in the group the Blues will either be drawn to play against Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona or Turkish side Besiktas in the Round of 16.

Chelsea lost 1-0 to West Ham yesterday.

The draw will be made on Monday and the Blues will be playing their first leg at home.

Conte was named as Premier League’s Manager of the Season in 2016/17 after leading Chelsea to the title on his maiden season at the club, but his second campaign hasn’t began as promisingly.

The Blues have already lost four games this term and could be 14 points behind league leaders Manchester City should they win today’s Manchester Derby clash at Old Trafford. After yesterday’s loss to West Ham, Conte even claimed that the Blues would be out of the title race.
