Chesea have been quoted a perfectly reasonable price of €50m for the transfer of Alex Sandro this January, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Italian press claim that the summer price of €70m that the Blues refused to pay has decreased significantly, to a much more reasonable sum.
In fact most sources claim that Antonio Conte’s team offered more than €50m in the summer, so assuming they are still happy to spend that money now, a deal really could be on the cards.
Sandro’s poor form since the summer has helped lower his price, as has the fact that he’s now another 6 months closer to the end of his contract.
It would be very out of character for Chelsea to make a move of such size in the winter, but needs must and if Sandro really is available at such a knockdown price they may find it hard to say no.
