Chelsea planning January swoop for former Manchester United winger

According to the Mirror, Chelsea are considering an offer for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this January.

The Blues have set their sights on the Ivory Coast international following his great form under Roy Hodgson in these recent weeks. He’s played a huge part in Palace’s uprising, as the Eagles have now gone seven games unbeaten in the Premier League and escaped the bottom three with style.

Zaha had a chance to make his mark at a ‘big club’ when he moved to Manchester United in 2013, but he couldn’t really find himself a place in the team, deciding to return to Selhurst Park after making just two league appearances in two years at Old Trafford.

Wilfried Zaha couldn’t really settle at Manchester United.

The 25-year-old has now scored four goals and made two assists this term and it’s no wonder he’s attracting interest from bigger Premier League sides, with Tottenham also reportedly interested in the player.

Antonio Conte is determined to bolster his side during the upcoming January transfer window, and Zaha could really be a good addition to the squad considering his versatility in the attacking positions.
