Chelsea allowed to sign Marco Asensio with ‘one condition’ this January

Chelsea have been linked with a stunning move for Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder Marco Asensio recently.

The Spanish U21 international has not been able to cement his place in the reign Champions League champions’ starting line-up, and is reportedly seeking for a move away from Santiago Bernabeu.

The rumours have got the majority of Chelsea fans excited ahead of the winter transfer window, but when dealing with a club like Real, there’s always going to be a twist in the tale.

Eden Hazard celebrating his goal against West Brom

According to Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, Chelsea will only be allowed to sign Asensio by giving up the Blues’ star man Eden Hazard in exchange.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has a very strong admiration towards the Belgian winger, and will surely do his best to try and lure him to the La Liga giants’ side.

Hazard has also confirmed to be keen on working under the Frenchman someday in the future, but he surely wouldn’t leave Chelsea in the middle of his potentially greatest season in Blue?

Antonio Conte would love to add a player of Asensio’s ability and potential to his side, but it would demand a high price.
