Antonio Conte warns Cahill, Drinkwater not to start kicking Hazard

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was delighted after the Blues cruised into a comfortable 3-1 victory over Newcastle United this Saturday afternoon.

Eden Hazard was on fire as he bagged two goals against former Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez’s side, being awarded as today’s man of the match in the process.

Conte was delighted with the Belgian forward’s dominant display:

“I think he had a really good game. I think he enjoys playing this type of game. He is an important player as we can change our system. Today Eden and Alvaro showed a good link and a lot of combination play. I am happy. You know very well there is a team doing extraordinary things, that is Manchester City. We stay there with the other teams. It is important to look at ourselves and go game by game.

The Italian was also asked about his opinion on Friday’s World Cup Group Stage draw, where Gary Cahill and Danny Drinkwater’s England face Belgium, starred by Chelsea’s Hazard, Michy Batshuayi and Thibaut Courtois.

Conte gave his two English players a big warning ahead of the World Cup clash, as he doesn’t want to see them hurting their own club team-mates despite representing different colours in the summer.

“I saw yesterday the draw and England Belgium are in the same group. There are two teams to qualify for the next round. England and Belgium are favourite to do this. It will be special to see this game. I would like to watch this game.

There is Cahill and Danny. I have to speak with them and tell them and to avoid the kicks to Eden.

For sure every day to have the training session with this player will make you stronger. Gary knows very well his skill.”

We can agree with Conte in this,as we certainly don’t want to start next season with another major Hazard injury, but it would be hard to deny that England really need to stop the 26-year-old in case they’re keen to win the game.
