Antonio Conte tells Chelsea fans Tiemoue Bakayoko will get better with time

Chelsea fans have been hugely unimpressed by the displays of Tiemoue Bakayoko in recent weeks but following his goal against Huddersfield, Antonio Conte is adamant the midfielder will keep improving.

The French midfielder scored his second Premier Legaue goal of the season, after latching unto a ground pass from Willian before lifting the ball over the goalkeeper to give Chelsea the lead at the Kirklees stadium.

It was an overall better perfromance from the summer signing from AS Monaco, who is yet to settle in well at his new club alonsgide N’Golo Kante in midfield.

When quizzed about the quality on display on Tuesday night, Chelsea’s Italian manager, Conte said he has noticed Bakayoko’s improvement and is confident the 24-year old will begin to delight Blues fans in games, as quoted by Chelsea HQ on Twitter.

Bakayoko was signed from Monaco for  £40 million as replacement for Nemanja Matic who departed to Manchester United. However his form has left Blues fans unimpressed, with many of the club supporters lashing out at him on social media recently.

His positive response in the Huddersfield game will restore some calm in the meantime.
