Antonio Conte emerges as shock candidate for Real Madrid job

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is being linked to a job at Real Madrid, according to the Sun.

The Spanish giants are currently struggling in the league, as they’re sitting tight on the fourth position, eight points behind Chelsea’s Champions League knock-out stage opponent and La Liga leaders Barcelona.

With Zinedine Zidane’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, Real Madrid owner Florentino Perez is planning of replacing the Frenchman with Conte.

The Italian tactician enjoyed a spectacular debut season at Stamford Bridge, leading the Blues to their second Premier League title in three years’ time. Individual accolades of being named as both the Manager of the Season and Manager of the Month (for three months in a row) have also increased the former Juventus manager’s reputation.

But due to Chelsea’s inability to keep up with title favourites Manchester City, Conte’s future at the club has been widely speculated by the British media. Most of this speculation has turned out to be completely untrue, and you really can’t expect this prediction to happen either.
