“It is not right” – Antonio Conte reveals his surprising solution to help Chelsea beat Liverpool

Antonio Conte made no secret of his disdain about the fixture pile-up Chelsea are going through.

After playing on Saturday, they played last night against Qarabag, and then had to fly back from Azerbaijan in order to be ready for a Premier League game against Liverpool that takes place on Saturday.

In the press conference after the Qarabag game, he revealed what he was planning on doing to help his team in the rapid turnover between the two matches. According to the Italian coach, he and his staff will spend the six hour flight back from Baku preparing for the crunch league game on the horizon.

Conte was even able to watch the Reds fixture against Liverpool on Tuesday night, and he will have liked what he saw as Klopp’s men crumbled in the second half in Spain

On Saturday we’ll find out if it was worth it.

“For sure we have to work during the flight to prepare for Liverpool,” Conte said. “With my staff we started also before, not to arrive [unprepared] at the last moment. To have only one day to rest and prepare [for the match] is not simple or easy. It is not right.
