The teams for England’s friendly game against Brazil have just come out and Gary Cahill is not in the England side.
The defender missed the game against Germany last week with a back injury, but told the press he would be fit for tonight after training as normal over the last few days.
Instead, Joe Gomez has come into the side to start in his place.
Gomez comes in for Cahill in #Eng team. Clearly the #cfc defender has had some sort of setback with his back injury. Told me he was fit to play on Friday.

This is a worrying development for Chelsea fans, who lost N’Golo Kante for a month in the last break, and this time round have seen a variety of players – including Cahill – pick up knocks and problems as the fortnight has gone on.
Luckily the Blues are well stocked at centre back at the moment, with Cahill ably deputised by Antonio Rudiger, or the dropped David Luiz.
Andreas Christensen, fresh from making his breakthrough into the Blues team, starts for Denmark as they look to turn over Ireland in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
