Leicester City fans are very unhappy with their club deciding to sell Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea so late in the summer transfer window.
The England international handed in a transfer request long before completing his move to Stamford Bridge, but Leicester were slow to make a move for his imminent replacement, Adrien Silva.
While Chelsea received two additional hours to complete the deal for Drinkwater, the Portuguese midfielder’s move from Sporting Lisbon to the King Power Stadium was filed 14 seconds after the transfer deadline had passed. FIFA have today announced that after a long period of consideration, the deal won’t go through simply because the Premier League side were late with the confirmation.
Thus Silva will have to wait for his transfer until January transfer window opens, and the news has not left Leicester fans happy.
