Liverpool enter race to sign Chelsea target Aubameyang

Chelsea have struggled this transfer window with moves for top targets all failing and it looks as though Liverpool are going to be the latest club to gazump them to the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

Borussia Dortmund’s forward has been the center of interest from top clubs this summer after his 40 goals last season in all competitions.

AC Milan and Paris Saint German were the front runners until Chelsea appeared favorites having missed out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.

But Chelsea just won’t have it their way this summer as Liverpool, as reported by the Sun, enters the fray.

The Sun says the Reds have leapt ahead of Chelsea to sign the Gabon international because of Liverpool manager’s ties with his former club.

Klopp is the manager who signed Aubameyang from Saint Etienne in 2013 but departed before the 28-year old shone at the Westfalenstadion.

He may just leave Dortmund this summer transfer window but it’s not cast in stone he will sign for Chelsea yet although there has been interest from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are in need of a striker to replace the departing Diego Costa and have made attempts to sing Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and shown interest in Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
