Chelsea starlet to follow in Tammy Abraham’s footsteps

One of the hardest parts of Chelsea’s “loan army” strategy is picking the right clubs for young players to join.

We want our young players playing at the highest possible level, with the best teammates possible, but we want them to play week in week out. If they are just going to sit on the bench they may as well be at Stamford Bridge.

Tammy Abraham’s success at Bristol City last year was a perfect example, and it looks as though the club will look to send another promising youngster to the South West in order to try and replicate the breakthrough that the forward enjoyed.

Callum Hudson Odoi is named by the Bristol Post as a potential loan target for Lee Johnson’s team. The forward probably wouldn’t be ready to start straight away like Abraham, but the 17 year old could certainly contribute as the Championship side look to replace his goals.
