The interminable Tiemoue Bakayoko transfer saga, which appeared to be so close to an end, has taken a new twist.
The midfielder has deluged social media with images of him making the trip to London and even posted a photo of Cobham training ground, leading most people to believe that the deal would finally be agreed today.
But news from reliable Twitter source Get French Football, posted below, has cast sudden doubt on the move after they claim that Monaco have failed to provide some of the necessary paperwork.

While one can only imagine this is an oversight rather than Monaco trying to sabotage the deal – they seem happy to take the reported £40m-ish fee for the former Rennes man – it’s another twist in a saga that many of us were hoping would be completed this afternoon.
