Another young defender could leave Chelsea as Inter Milan show interest

Chelsea could be on the verge of losing another young player after Inter Milan express interest in Andreas Christensen.

The 21-year old is subject to a bid from Inter after he returned from a highly successful two-year loan spell from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The highly rated defender is keen not to move out on loan again and wants to make the mark at Chelsea next season.

According to the Sun, Christensen will be given the opportunity by Antonio Conte to impress while competing for places with David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cezar Azpilicueta.

However, the imminent arrival of another high profile name in defense makes it bleak for the Denmark center back to have more minutes although there will be enough competitions to leave an impression for all the players.

Chelsea clearly are in the hunt for a defender this summer making bids for Leonardo Bonucci, Alex Sandro, Antonio Rudiger and Virgil van Dijk.

Inter’s interest Christensen is boosted with the promise of regular first team football, an assurance Chelsea would find difficult in giving the young lad next season.

The defender might opt to move to Italy, with competition for places at Stamford Bridge getting tougher. Kurt Zouma is also pushing for a first team place.
