Chelsea FC have today confirmed that N’Golo Kantè will be wearing the No.7 squad number on his jersey for the 2016/17 campaign.
Kantè will be following along the lines of great players that have played in the No. 7 shirt for Chelsea, most recently after Ramires who has left the club for a move to China.
The France international will soon link up with his new manager and teammates later on during the US tour which began yesterday.
The former Leicester City midfielder joined Chelsea on the 16th July, following on from a positive Euro 2016 for the Premier League winner, which saw him and his fellow French team-mates get to the final of their own tournament, to lose out in extra-time against Portugal after Eder’s strike from outside the box was the difference between the two sides.
The 25-year-old sounded positive speaking after the confirmation of his arrival in West London, whilst also taking the time to thank Premier League champions Leicester City for everything last season.
