The international break is here; a two week break that Chelsea fans and players have been looking forward to for a long time after a terrible start to the season, but hopefully our players could do well during the international break. Here is a preview of what players are playing where in the international break.
England
Gary Cahill is the only player who has been called up to the England senior team whereas Ola Aina & Ruben Loftus-Cheek have been called up to the under 21 squad where they will join Dom Solanke, John Swift, Nathaniel Chalobah and Lewis Baker who are currently out on loan this season. Cahill will be facing a tough test against France and Spain where his defensive credentials will be tested.
France
Kurt Zouma was originally called up to the the under 21 team but has pulled out due to injury.
Brazil
Willian and Oscar have been called up into Dunga’s squad where they play Argentina and Peru in World cup qualifiers. Youngester, Kenedy has been called up to the Brazil u23 squad.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Asmir Begovic is the only Bosnia international in the squad and his country face a stern test against Republic of Ireland in the European championship play off round where Asmir hopes to break the heart’s of millions of Irish fans who hope to see their country in the international competition for the first time in ages.
Belgium
Eden Hazard is the only Chelsea player to be called up to the Belgian squad with Courtois being injured. Eden Hazard has been out of form for his club this season with him being in his worst ever scoring drought at club level but on the international stage he has scored in their last 4 games. Hazard has the possibility to show of his world class ability where he plays Italy and Spain in a friendly.
Spain
Cesc Fabregas, Cesar Azpilicueta and Pedro maintain their spot in the Spanish national team whereas Diego Costa returns to the squad after being dropped last time round due to his aggressive reputation and his antics against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Others
Betrand Traore has been called up to the Burkina Faso squad where he is now an ever present. Talented full back Baba Rahman is yet again in the Ghana squad and John Obi Mikel is the Nigeria squad once again.
