Wednesday Transfer Roundup – Chelsea to bid £7m for Alex Telles

Chelsea are eager to sign Galatasaray’s Alex Telles, following Filipe Luis’ return to La Liga side Atletico Madrid on a four-year-deal.

The Sun claim that Mourinho wants to replace Luis with fellow Brazilian Telles, who is valued at around £7m and is also being monitored by Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the Guardian are reporting that getting a work permit for Telles may be difficult because he hasn’t featured for his nation yet.

In other Chelsea news, Mohamed Salah is poised to complete his move to Serie A side Roma today, whilst the Blues are still tracking Everton’s John Stones.

The Daily Mail have reported that Egyptian winger Salah has agreed terms with the Italian side, but the two clubs need to finalize details on the £1.4m loan fee, with an option to buy the ex-Basel winger for £16m.

For young English defender Stones, Mourinho has already had a £20m offer rejected. The Portuguese is now preparing a second bid, increasing the offer my £6m.

ESPN strongly believe Stones will be a Chelsea player, come the end of the transfer window.
