Hazard enjoying key role

Eden Hazard said he is revelling in his role as Chelsea’s match-winner after his strike against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening helped edge the West London club that one step closer to the Premier League title.

The Belgian scored his 18th goal of the season to earn the Blues a 1-0 win, which opened up a  10 points gap at the top of the table between themselves and Arsenal.

If the Blues grab three points at the Emirates next Sunday, the Blues could be crowned Premier League champions just three days later, with a win over Leicester. Hazard has said he is loving his job as Chelsea’s major peformer

Hazard told Chelsea TV: “Every game I try to do one good moment. This is my job. I like my job. I try to give pleasure to the fans when they come to the stadium. I did very well.

It’s very difficult, but in one moment you need something special with a special player like me, or Oscar, Didier (Drogba), Willian.

“This is why we play football, to play this kind of game and to score against this kind of team.”

Hazard made the switch to Chelsea from Lille after their Champions League success back in 2012, and has won the Europa League and this year’s Capital One Cup during his time at Stamford Bridge.
