Chelsea recall Lewis Baker

Lewis Baker who joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan in January has been recalled by his parent club.

The 19 year old, who is a promising midfielder, joined the Owls last month on loan and made 4 appearances for the club.

Lewis Baker made his first team debut at Chelsea during the FA Cup third round against Derby County in January 2014 and regarded alongside his teammate Izzy Brown and Dominic Solanke as promising talent.

Jose Mourinho would be very surprised if they don’t make it to the National team, he said:

If in a few years, Baker, Izzy Brown and Dominic Solanke are not National team player, I will blame myself for it.

Baker, is only 19 years of age and has a bright future ahead of him, but will be hoping to make it into the first team under Mourinho despite the return of midfielder Cesc Fabregas, stiff competition is in the air.
