Chelsea ready to offload midfielder

Chelsea are ready to sell unsettled winger Juan Cuadrado, just months after joining the Premier League Champions, claim talkSPORT.

The winger, who replaced Mo Salah in January, has struggled to make an impact in his short Chelsea career; the 27-year-old has started just three games, being replaced at half time in two of them.

According to the Express, he is already looking for a way out of Stamford Bridge, and would favour a return to Serie A where he enjoyed success with Fiorentina.

Reports claim that Inter Milan are also likely to offer the winger and escape route from his West London nightmare [talkSPORT].

The Blues are unlikely to allow Cuadrado to leave before finding a suitable replacement; however, Salah has enjoyed a successful loan spell in Serie A and could do the job for Mourinho.

This would be unusually poor business from the Blues, who have made successful margins on fringe players in the last few windows, as Cuadrado would undoubtedly leave for a cut price.

Reports suggest that Mourinho would prefer to land Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan, despite strong competition from Manchester United.

United are said to be close to a £21million deal, with Van Gaal declaring an interest in the playmaker, so the Blues will have to move fast if they are to beat their rivals to any deal.
