Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United – Player Ratings

Courtois 5/10 – Was ready when called in to action but Manchester United only managed 2 shots on target all day.

Ivanovic 6/10 – Did a good job going forward when he could, but in turn left a lot of space down the right hand side – was exposed to Shaw’s pace on more than one occasion.

Cahill 6/10 – A very disciplined performance, did what was expected and is started to show the form we saw last season.

Terry (c) 6/10 – Another great consistent display from the captain, shackled Falcao and made the important challenge that led to the goal.

Azpilicueta 6/10 – A solid performance, although he did not overlap as much as we unusually see he nullified Mata and Valencia.

Zouma 8/10 – Zouma did exactly what he was put in there to do, we did not see Fellaini all afternoon.

Matic 8/10 – Matic was back to his best in recent week, partnered well with Zouma in making Fellaini invisible.

Oscar 7/10 – Oscar has come under a lot of stick recently, but always does his job in defence and in attack, provided a bit of brilliance for the goal.

Fabregas 7/10 – Fabregas was great at breaking up the play and niggling at United’s midfield, his pass led to the goal as usual.

Hazard 9/ 10 – What more can we say? Took his goal very well and always looked like a threat.

Drogba 6/10 – Held the ball up well and brought our midfield into the game, and lifted pressure off our midfield.

Ramires 7/10 – Ramires put an end to Luke Shaw’s rampant runs, United soon substituted him and from there on it seemed we had more of the ball – would like to have seen him start.

Mikel 6/10 – Great to see him back from injury and helped Chelsea keep possession in the dying phases of the game, also gave him an extra mark for his nutmeg.

Willian – 5/10 Was very brave to sit on the bench considering he was sick for 2 days and could not train with the rest of the squad – to make yourself available when the manager needs you is the commitment Chelsea breathes.
