Cesc Fabregas: I’m desperate to win the Champions League

Cesc Fabregas has been ill for the past week, however even though, he had a quiet game and was replaced by Oscar at the 83th minute on Tuesday, he still went on to play.

Chelsea drew 1-1 with PSG at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night, the same city he suffered a defeat in the final of this competition almost nine years ago.

After losing out that night,  in four semi finals with Arsenal, with Barcelona against Chelsea in 2012 and against Bayern Munich the following year, the Spaniard is finally hoping to lift the trophy with Chelsea this year but admitted in football you never know, who you will face, and what is going to happen.

The Champions League is the competition I still need to win. It would give me enormous satisfaction.

“We have a great team. I do not know if it will happen this year, next year or in the next five years. That is football. Football will decide. I’ve played in a Champions League final, four semi-finals. You are there, you practically touch it, you get so close… I hope I can experience that moment one day “

Chelsea will play PSG at Stamford Bridge for the second leg on March 11th.
