Blues crown Champion season with two more awards

This morning, Jose Mourinho and Eden Hazard were announced Barclays Manager and Barclays Player of the Year respectively.

Hazard, who has already claimed the PFA Player of the Year and the FWA Player of the Year, has capped his best season yet with a third award.

The Belgian has been influential in helping Mourinho reach his third title in four full seasons at the Bridge; contributing 17 goals and 9 assists in the process; the winger has featured in every single Premier League game this season, but will miss the Blues’ title party at home to Sunderland due to ’emergency dental surgery’. Jose Mourinho, despite failing to pick up any Manager of the Month awards this season, has been named the Manager of the Year, as his side secured the title with a more than comfortable four games remaining.

Mourinho’s side have lost just three games this season, drawing nine and winning 25 on their way to the title. Although the Blues can no longer break the 90 points barrier, the numbers are extremely impressive.

With only 0.86 goals conceded per game, and a 46% clean sheet record, the Blues longest unbeaten streak came to an end on Monday night after 16 games.

Jose’s side have been at the top of the Premier League table since the beginning, and have yet another accolade to celebrate this weekend.
