Arsenal legend hails Chelsea’s Hazard

Arsenal legend – and now Sky Sports pundit – Thierry Henry has hailed the recent performances of Chelsea’s star man Eden Hazard, after another match winning performance on Saturday evening, that leaves his side just two wins from the Premiership title.

Henry, who was present at the Didier Drogba foundation dinner after the game on Saturday, believes the Belgian has stepped up his game in the last few months, and believes he is letting people know that this is ‘his time’.

I had my doubts, because sometimes he doesn’t take the game by the scruff of the neck.

“You have to let people know that this is your team and this is your era and this is your time. Right now he wants the ball, he’s in the middle he doesn’t stay wide anymore. He’s telling everyone ‘hey, we’re going to win the league and if we do, I’m going to be the man.”

Chelsea’s number 10 secured three more points for his side with a well-taken goal against Manchester United this weekend, adding to his involvement with 15 goals in his last 17 games for the Blues.

The winger was also nominated for both the PFA Player of the Year awards last week, and is dubbed to take home the main award after winning the Young POTY last season.

I think he took his game to another level in the last two months or so.

That is high praise from a player who dominated this league for almost a decade and it seems as though the Premier League might have found its heir apparent to Thierry Henry.
