One of the most intense features of the long buildup to this Europa League final has been the story of N’Golo Kante’s injuries.
The French midfielder missed the end of the Premier League season with a hamstring problem, and although he returned to training in plenty of time to prepare for tomorrow night’s game, he then seemed to take another knock which set him back.
Today he was seen in the open training session, and while he appeared to take part, Pat Nevin on Chelsea TV was clear that he didn’t think Kante looked too lively. Sarri said in his presser earlier it was probably a 50/50 shot.
“He’s not walking too well,” the Scottish former winger noted as Kante emerged on the pitch.
