Danilo, the out of favour Man City defender, is on the verge of moving to Serie A.
The “Sempre Inter” blog remembers the summer of 2017, when both Chelsea and Man City chased the defender.
His versatility on both feet had made him useful at Real Madrid, and seemingly for Antonio Conte as a player who could be a wing back backup for both Marcos Alonso on the left and Victor Moses on the right.

In the end v, and while he ended up getting plenty of gametime last season, it’s dwindled this time out, especially with the return of Benjamin Mendy to fitness.
The blog links the defender now with a move to Inter, where he will be able to play regularly, but it also recalls his links to Chelsea and how different things could have been if he’d chosen us. He’d have one fewer league medals, for one thing.
But maybe he could have become a first team option here. Certainly we’ve looked thing at full back this season. Maybe he could have been the spark to keep Conte in a job?
