Reports coming out of Chelsea at the moment are saying that Callum Hudson-Odoi may have an achilles injury, and that it’s “not looking good”.
Those were the quotes attributed to Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola. The winger went off in the first half after going down, trying to play on and then giving up again. He looked in serious pain as he limped round the pitch.

Zola on Hudson-Odoi: "It's not an easy one. I think it's a serious injury. It's on his achilles tendon." Says it will have to be examined, but "I don't think it's good."

This is horrendous news personally for Hudson-Odoi, the implications of which could be felt in England & Germany this summer & beyond #cfc https://t.co/RIEt0Unajj

It’s a bitter blow for a player who was finally getting his chance in the first team and now has his future up in the air. If it’s actually a serious injury, he will need rehab through the summer and potentially into next season.
That may scupper any Bayern move in the short term, but what of a new contract?
None of this is confirmed yet, so let’s keep praying. But it’s not looking good, as Zola says, in any sense.
UPDATE: He’s confirmed it. Ruptured Achilles. Oh god.
Really gutted to end my season with an Ruptured Achilles, gotta work hard and try and come back stronger for next season!!!😢🙏🏾❤️ pic.twitter.com/PXC53WszdH
