(Video): Chelsea double their lead through crisp Giroud finish

Marcos Alonso is only in this team as a rotation option, but he’s just reminded everyone what kind of delivery he can put in from the left when the mood takes him.

His delivery in to the box has been poor this season, as has his all round game in fact. But tonight in Kiev he’s set up Chelsea’s second goal with a lovely bent low cross that travelled perfectly into the path of Olivier Giroud, who made no error on the finish.

Game over. Now it’s just a question of not picking up any injuries. Let’s all get home safely and prepare for another huge game this Sunday.
