Roman Abramovich sets aside funds for Chelsea to sign one of Serie A’s top strikers

Chelsea may be failing on the goal scoring front in recent months and last season failed to get the best out of their striking combo, but it seems Roman Abramovich is ready to change that.

According to Tuttosport in Italy, Maurizio Sarri’s arrival could be tied with some players arrivals this summer and prime among them is a goalscorer. The report by Sport Witness says Chelsea may make a bid for the Juventus striker this summer after Blues owner Abramovich made it clear he will help bring in the Argentina striker.

The striker is currently on duty for Argentina at the 2018 World Cup and is yet to find a goal at the tournament as his side struggle in their group against Croatia, Nigeria and Iceland.

Sarri and Higuain worked together at Napoli before the striker moved to Juventus and the Italian now wants to reunite with Higuain. Current Blues strikers Alvaro Morata, Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud will be evaluated by the Italian tactician before making significant moves in the transfer market.
