AS Roma set to reveal deadline for Chelsea to activate Kostas Manolas release clause

Chelsea will soon find out the deadline set by AS Roma for Kostas Manolas’ release clause to be activated this summer according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Via Calciomercato, Chelsea target Manolas can leave Roma to the Premier League giants but Roma will not wait on interested clubs to come in anytime they want and are ready to insert a deadline for bids for him.

Manolas has a release clause in his deal, said to be £34 million and Chelsea are keen to activate it this summer, as it is the only way Roma will let him leave.

According to the report by Gazzetta via Calciomercato, Roma plan to force Chelsea to make a concrete bid as soon as possible as waiting for the Blues to secure Manolas in August, when the release clause officially ends, will not give them ample time to find a replacement.

Manolas since arriving from Olympiacos in 2014 has been an important part of Roma’s side and is easily one of the first names on their team sheets in recent seasons.
