“We have now a big coach” – Napoli star shockingly says Italians have swapped a ‘nice’ coach for a ‘big’ coach who wins

Chelsea are to expect a new manager in the next few days if the latest reports are true about Maurizio Sarri, possibly signing for the Blues.

Italian journalist, Alfredo Peduila reported some weeks ago that the six-time Premier League champions are now ready to pay the compensation to Napoli after a long summer tussle. The Italians have won the battle and Chelsea are set to sack Antonio Conte and replace him with another Italian manager.

There have been concerns among some Chelsea fans though, who believe Sarri is not cut for the job at Stamford Bridge, after three seasons at Napoli and not winning any silverware.

The argument that goes in favor of Sarri is that he has got Napoli playing the best football in Italy and possibly Europe. Despite not winning trophies at the club, he is highly regarded in Italy as a genius who can transform any player or squad.

But when one of his stars at Napoli was asked about his possible arrival at Chelsea this summer, he seemed to admit Sarri is not a winner but a ‘nice’ coach.

“They [Chelsea] can expect nice football because he is a very good coach. I’m disappointed that he leaves like this but we have now a big coach [Carlo Ancelotti]. We know we can win something with him. I hope he will win something with Chelsea because he’s a nice coach.

When a coach like this comes he needs time. So I think they have to give him time because he will change the football of Chelsea, I think. At Napoli we enjoyed it very much as players and the supporters enjoyed it very much. At Chelsea I think it will be the same.”
