Napoli hold conviction that star defender will follow Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea have not exactly been the best at attracting players in recent years, especially as the club fail in the Champions League and it’s reluctance to pay top dollar for their best quality in the market.

But according to Rai Sport, via CalcioMercato, the Blues could be landing one of the Serie A’s best defenders in recent seasons. The deal could happen because Maurizio Sarri could be arriving as the manager to replace Antonio Conte this summer.

That according to Rai Sport will open up the move for Elseid Hysaj to join up with his former manager at Stamford Bridge.

The right full back will find competition tough though if he moves to Chelsea this summer, with Victor Moses and Davide Zappacosta having established the position in recent months.

His release clause is said to be €50 million and although Chelsea are unlikely to pay that much for him, the possibility of playing under Sarri, who brought him to Naples, might convince him to force a move.
