Jose Mourinho criticises Chelsea player after World Cup error

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has aimed a dig at goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who is still on the books at Stamford Bridge.

Caaballero has been throw into the mix in Russia as Argentina’s first choice goalkeeper after an injury to Sergio Romero, and he didn’t really live up to expectations in the first game.

The Albiceleste went a goal up through Sergio Aguero, and looked set to cruise to victory by several goals, when the lack of command from Willy allowed a ball to be played into the six yard box, where it was easily finished by Iceland to equalise.

As Jose Mourinho pointed out in quotes carried by Football.London, that was the only dangerous situation in the whole game from the Argentine’s perspective, so to mess that up was a real blow.

“One chance, one goal, Caballero in goal or myself would be the same because I would save the same as Caballero, there was not one single dangerous situation,” the Portuguese said of the stopper’s wobbly moment.

It’s not like Jose to have a dig at players at his former clubs, is it?
