Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has received praise from countryman and former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger following his performances for France at the 2018 World Cup.
Kante has featured the entire two matches for Les Bleus at this summer’s World Cup and most importantly for Chelsea fans has come out of the games unscathed.
He has not put a foot wrong while instead cleaning up the mistakes of his teammates constantly in their games against Australia and Peru. His displays in the Premier League for Leicester City that earned him interest from Chelsea has been put on the World stage this summer and Wenger is excited by that.
Kante has been paired with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in France’s midfield by head coach Didier Deschamps and has been one of the best players at the tournament and for France.

According to Wenger, Kante’s interceptions and reading of the game has been immense so far.
“Kante has a unique ability to intercept balls and rectify the errors of his teammates. He’s played perfectly for 180 minutes (vs Australia and Peru). He’s been the best player for France up to now.”
