“Eden rejected extending his contract with Chelsea” – Hazard’s father claims player ready to sign for Real Madrid

Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard is a key target for Spain’s Real Madrid and despite the player saying in the past, that he is ready to sign a new contract with the Blues.

Hazard has been Chelsea’s key player and the reason most of the players tick in the last few seasons. His dribbling abilities and outrageous skill to skin his opponents in games makes him one of the most sought after players in the world and Real have made him a prime target.

Reports developed last season, via Daily Mail, that Chelsea have readied a new bumper contract for the Belgium international but he has yet to sign the dotted lines, and now according to Marca, the payer is delaying the signing because he is waiting on an offer from the Los Blancos after the World Cup.

His father, Thierry Hazard, did not make things easier on Chelsea fans, insisting his son and client is ‘waiting’ on Real Madrid where he hopes to ‘fit in well’.

“Eden rejected extending his contract with Chelsea so that, when it comes, he can consider the interest of Real Madrid, where he’d fit in well.”
