Chelsea target learning English as Premier League move looks ever closer

One of Chelsea’s most busily rumoured targets of the summer so far has released a hint that he may well be coming to the Premier League – through his father.

Aleksandr Golovin has been excelling with Russia at the World Cup in his own country, which has ramped up speculation about his future even more. And now the attacker’s father has revealed that his is learning English, as these reports in the Metro claim.

It’s a positive sign for Chelsea fans who want to sign the CSKA Moscow player for sure, but we’re not the only English side interested in him. Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked.

It seems unlikely that a deal could be reached until after Russia’s World Cup campaign is concluded – which could be a while considering how well they’re doing.

At least that will give Aleksandr a few more weeks to get his English up to scratch.
