Chelsea have been linked with all manner of Serie A players over the last couple of years since Antonio Conte’s arrival, and that doesn’t look like it will change if Maurizio Sarri is appointed this summer as expected.
The Blues are now being linked with all manner of Italian based stars, the latest being Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina.
He’s made a huge impact in Tuscany since breaking into the first team in 2016, and now the Daily Express are among the publications claiming he’s on Chelsea’s radar for a summer move.
Tottenham are also interested in the 20 year old winger, who has already earned 5 Italy caps.
Christian Pulisic of Dortmund is clearly the prime option available in that position this summer, but if he’s out of our price range. Chiesa could make a superb alternative. He’d cost less, but has just as much experience at the top level.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
