Chelsea could repeat Michy loan deal with Morata this summer if Dortmund don’t stump up the cash

Borussia Dortmund’s success signing Michy Batshuayi on loan in January has clearly given them a taste for struggling Chelsea target men.

The German club proved a super destination for the Belgian, who was in hot form until an injury in April.

Now sites like TalkSport are saying that they’re after another out of favour option from the Blues – Alvaro Morata.

The odd thing is that they say that the £45m Chelsea want is too much for Dortmund to pay. The truth is it’s hard to see that being an acceptable price even for Chelsea. They’re not going to take such a massive hit on the price of an investment they made last summer.

The reality is that the club would probably prefer to loan the forward – maybe to Dortmund – to see if he can improve his price a little, before maybe moving him on next summer.

Still, given how well Michy did on loan, perhaps both sides can benefit from a similar deal this summer.
