Chelsea ready to sign relegated England goalkeeper to replace Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea are ready to sign England goalkeeper Jack Butland from Stoke City in the coming transfer window if Thibaut Courtois leaves the club.

Real Madrid are getting ready to replace Keylor Navas with the club’s top officials not convinced by the shot stopper’s performances at the Santiago Bernabeu. The club’s top brass feels Navas is not the superstar goalkeeper like Manchester United’s David De Gea and Courtois are as per Goal.

With De Gea not ready to leave his long term contract at Old Trafford next summer or any after it, Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper, Courtois, could be the most likely option. The Belgium international is unwilling to commit to a new deal at Stamford Bridge until after the World Cup and has opened up the possibility for Real Madrid to officially launch an opening bid for his services.

The Daily Mail suggests the Blues are willing to move in for Stoke City number one goalkeeper Jack Butland if Courtois leaves although the report mentions AS Roma’s Allisson as another option should the Belgian leave.
