Chelsea are back in for Nabil Fekir, and can sign the midfielder for £66m.
That’s according to the Sun, who say that both Tottenham and Chelsea are on alert to sign the Lyon midfielder.
He just made an appearance for France at the World Cup, but it’s his showings for his club side that have really caught the eye over the last few seasons. He scored 21 goals last season.
Lyon have accepted that they are ready to sell Fekir, and had agreed a deal with Liverpool, only for the whole thing to collapse at the last might – apparently because of an issue with the 26 year old’s knee.
The question is – are Chelsea ready to gamble where Liverpool aren’t? If there’s a long term problem we will look foolish, but on the other hand it’s not too often that a World Class midfielder is openly available.
